This Giveaway Day has concluded – join me in congratulating Blu on winning these sewing supplies!
It’s Giveaway Day once again. I love the fact that Sew, Mama, Sew organizes and hosts this a couple of times each year. It’s a fun way to discover some new blogs and shops. Settle in with a warm, tasty beverage of your choice and do a little exploring.
For those of you who’ve never visited before, I’ve been blogging here at Crafty Staci for a while now, and love sharing simple, original tutorials and a few recipes. You can see all of my previous tutorials here, and recipes here. If you’d like to keep up with my adventures, you can subscribe over there in the side bar. ——————->
I have an Etsy shop and play around a bit on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. In between all that, I make stuff.
Last year, I gave away one of my Ninja Monkey Bags. This time, in addition to a handmade item (visit my other post today for that giveaway – it’s not a bag!), I wanted to give you something to encourage your own creativity. After all, that was my motivation for starting this blog in the first place.
Here’s what the winner will receive: five lovely fabric fat quarters, a half yard of my favorite iron-on interfacing, a 7 inch white zipper, a spool of white thread, pink flower buttons and a blue butterfly button.
There are billions of fat quarter projects out there if you need a little motivation. In fact, I recently spent a week focused on fat quarters, so there’s plenty here to get you started.
To enter to win everything here, just leave me a comment. It doesn’t have to be long, I’d just appreciate something that will add to the quality of my day. The giveaway will remain open until 5 pm, PST on Friday, May 25th. After that, I’ll randomly choose a winner (who I’ll notify by email, so make sure yours is linked to your comment somehow). International readers are welcome to enter. Every one of your countries is on my bucket list.
I appreciate all of you, both old and new readers! Be sure to check out my other giveaway and all the other great blogs and shops playing along this week!
For this sweet bundle of craftiness, i would … tapdance on my driveway. Or maybe do an Irish clog. Neither of which I know how to do.
Thanks for the chance, and I’m enjoying your blog by email!
What wonderful surprise to have for a rainy day project. Hope I win!!!!
Margrett
Your blog is such an inspiration to me! From the story on how you organized your studio to all the great ideas you’ve found on the internet. I really appreciate the time you spend enlightening us!
Enjoy your day!
LOVE your blog I always look forward to your post…great give away!!
I love the colors of the fabrics! My daughter has been begging for me to make her a skirt and these would be perfect. And we can’t forget a matching chevron tie for the little mister!
Oh, so many ideas, so little time… You have selected a wonderful set of items and so many ideas pop into mind! This is a wonderful give-a-way! Thanks!
Deni
I would love to win this give- a-way. I love to craft and just began sewing a few months ago and love it.
You have such a great eye for coordinating fabrics – thanks for the chance to win such a lovely prize pack. I am already thing of what I could make with it!
I really need to win this! =) I love sewing and making all kinds of things for our home. I am just now finishing up some oilcloth place mats. I made the oilcloth, too. What fun! I did find out that it is probably best to make your item, before you make it into oilcloth. =) It doesn’t sew real well when it is already made into the oilcloth.
You are the most generous ever… what a great lil give away in such lovely colors.. I am a new follower but know I am gonna love it here…thanks for the chance

Fabulous fabric, I see a little skirt for my grand babies in Haiti!
Something to add to the quality of your day, you say? Well… you’re precious, important, remembered, cared-for, safe, loved… you’re unexpectedly wonderful, a treasure, a joy, and your heart is open to those around you. You see things with fresh eyes and see the best in people. You’re kindness is like sunshine in the morning – a warm reminder of good things ahead. You hate looking back at the past because you’d much rather be joyful about the present and the future. So many people are encouraged by your presence – even down to the smile you give the clerk at the grocery store. You take time to stop and pet the dog you pass at the park… you celebrate the little things. You see that life is made up of little moments, and you have a unique ability to treasure each one. God is madly in love with you because He’s fascinated by who you are, even though He made you. He’s set you in motion and loves being part of your life – the center of your delight, the joy in your step, the ability to get up again after heartache. You’re like Him in that way – indomitable but so gentle and kind. Blessed to encounter you, and may your toes sing as you twirl through your day!
A little giggle to add quality to to your day: A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady. She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.
After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts.
She repeats this gesture about five more times. When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks the little old lady, ‘Why don’t you eat the peanuts yourself?’ ‘We can’t chew them because we’ve no teeth’, she replied.
The puzzled driver asks, ‘Why do you buy them then?’
The old lady replied, ‘We just love the chocolate around them.’

You’ve picked such pretty springy girly fabrics – they’re kind of screaming (with the interfacing and zipper) to be made into a little springy bag aren’t they?
(Here’s a giggle – spell check doesn’t know the word ‘zipper’. Apparently spell check was born in the velcro era…)

I wish I could send you pictures of my recent trip down the California Coast. I know it would brighten your day! I spent the weekend with a friend who is at Language school for the Army. It was the first large chunk of time we’ve been able to spend with each other since we met just before he went into boot camp and he’s been deployed twice since then! We drove along the beach, went to a cultural festival on base, visited the aquarium, went wine tasting, ate delicious meals, went to church together… it was beautiful.
That color palette would be a super cute baby girl blanket! Thanks for the variety!
This is a wonderful giveaway. I sew for the children’s hospital here in Spokane WA and I could put all of this to very good use. Thank you!

Lovely fabric choices, really bright and springy. I have to admit I’ve been quite bad at entering giveaways this year because I keep on discovering blogs i want to read and then get caught up doing that for an hour instead…I think i’m going to have a go at the Ninja monkey sling bag, too many nice things and not enough hours in the day!
Thank you for sharing! This is a wonderful bundle of sunshine on such a rainy day.

Lovely giveaway. HMM something to improve the quality of your day? That’s a tough one since I don’t know you. How about this? There once was a girl from Nantucket. Wait, wait. That’s not polite. How about a heartfelt wish for a happy day?

Ooo, these are fun! Ok, add to the quality of your day…that’s a tall order! Heres something that made me chuckle. My youngest son is learning how to dress himself. One day he kept putting his pants on backwards and we gently reminded him twice in a row it was on backwards and to turn it around. He just looked at us calmly and said, “ok, but please don’t bring it up again! “.
I love the graphics on your blog site. Those colored spools are cool!!

Ooh good reminder to buy interfacing I used it all up making a book for my baby boy who turns one today!
Thank you for the chance to win.
Funny but true story. My sewing companion (4.5 yr old Pomeranian) Rusty is always close by when I am working on any project. He waits until something drops to the floor then turns it in for a treat.
He used to eat stuff he would find now he tends to fill up on treats some days. He loves it when I am doing applique with small pieces.
I would have rocked that ninja monkey back from kindergarten to now. That rocks my socks!
What a great giveaway! I love that you have literally supplied everything AND have links to projects! Thanks!

I read this saying I loved, maybe it will add some quality to your day.
“It finally occurred to me after my whole life, searching for the one perfect path, that it might be better to follow many paths; to be multi-dimensional instead of one-dimensional.
Oh I love making quality comments. I love reading my followers comments. Ok something good. Ok something funny last night I went to visit my dad and a old lady at the rest home threw a fork at us and a spoon and a glass. Go read my blog post today to see how it ended.

I really like the compiling of fat quarter projects. I’ll defintely be coming back to those…especially the criss cross coasters! Thanks.
I love the giveaway days. I think I could spend all day long just looking at all these new blogs and personalities. Sometimes I may even get a bit verklempt. It just seems so wonderful that all of these people, including you, are just giving away lovely things for free to a community that really appreciates it. Humanity can be pretty great.
I love the crafting community, as a lifelong non-sewist it is mainly through the generosity of bloggers like you that I am now a very happy quilter & sewist (nearly 2 years now!) so thanks from me for that. And thanks as well for your lovely & generous giveaway.
What a lovely prize, I absolutely love the fabric combo you’ve selected! You have a wonderful eye for color. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love the selection you are giving away and am sure that I could put it to use! I’m not sure about adding quality to your day, but I can tell you that I have managed to type this comment while juggling a squirmy one-year old in my lap

Great giveaway set! Thanks!
those are really gorgeous fabric choices! sew sweet and simple! thanks for the opportunity!
Today I planted snapdragons and artichokes. I love to see the good brown dirt, clear of weeds, and then plant something in it. The artichokes are an adventure, I don’t know if they’ll grow in Cedar, Utah but can’t hurt to try. I tried broccoli several years ago and have planted more each year. I freeze it and we have fresh, frozen broccoli all winter long.
What a nice selection of fabrics! Would it brighten your day to know how many people are dreaming of winning this giveaway?!
I would love to make something beautiful with this! Thank you!
nice weather out there and nice giveaway, thanks for the chance.

Great giveaway! Now, to add to the quality of your day… A wish: May you find $20 or greater in the pocket of an item you haven’t worn in a while.
I love the fabrics you’ve picked!! To add to the quality of your day: Breathe deeply, drink more water and smile for no apparent reason!
I agree with an above poster, smile for no apparent reason! It makes my day so much brighter when people are just happy and nice. You will tend to receive the same in return!

I am so sure this is not going to add quality to your day in anyway but I do love this quote and thought i would share it with you.
“It takes 42 muscles to frown,28 muscles to smile, but only 4 muscles to reach out and slap someone.”
Hope that it makes you smile at least.
loving the stash!:) what pretty colours<3
andri_chama(at)yahoo(dot)com
Thanks for offering such a nice give-away. I think I would use at least a couple of those fabrics in a fabric book I am planning to make for a coming baby. (Never too early to start a baby on books or fabric — or both combined in a single gift!)
Hi from Australia!!! Thanks for the generous giveaway!!!
Thanks for the chance! I had a lovely moment the other day when I was sitting on the couch with the first quilt I ever made over my knees – my 20 month old daughter climbed up next to me lifted the quilt to sit next to me and put the quilt back over her and gave me a “tuddle”. Not sure if that story added to your quality of the day but it sure did for me!
what a sweet collection! If i won these, i would make something to share. but with who – that is the question – who wouldnt love something out of these. I am thinking for my Mom atm – but who knows.
Beautiful fabrics! A great find always adds to my day; I love finding new-to-me vintage sheets in their gorgeous, bright colourways. Thanks for the great giveaway!

The sun is my friend, and so is the earth.
Together we join and then we give birth
To our children who feel the need to be one
To take hands with nature, the earth and the sun.
Well, I don’t know if this is going to brighten your day at all, but your spool sidbar buttons for pinterest and all that are the most interesting ones I’ve every seen! Love them!

Motivational quote of the day. “You don’t have to be rich to be generous. If he has the spirit of true generosity, a pauper can give like a prince.”

What beautiful fabrics.
Hello from BC, Canada!
Fat quarters always have such great potential. Love your blog.
What yumminess! You have quite the eye for color and things sweet.
I’ll share something that added to the quality of my day yesterday. My 9 year old son put a rubber snake in my bed on my husband’s side. I saw him do it, but then my husband didn’t go to sleep for hours, so I was the only witness to his yelp and jump. The image still makes me giggle today! But my son better watch out, one day, my husband will return the favor. Thanks for the chance to win those lovely, inspiring supplies!
What a lovely fabric bundle and prize. I love just looking at those goodies.
Thanks for your kindness!
Such a lovely bundle of fabrics! I can’t wait to come back to your blog and check it out further. Your fat quarter tutorials are enticing me!
Today in class, I had my students working while I finished up some paperwork at my desk. About 15 minutes in (which is about how long their attention span is), I start to hear some noises. I glance around to see what is going on. One of my boys, who had gotten up to get a drink, was walking back to his seat Steve Urkle style. He had tucked in his shirt and hiked up his shorts. I giggled and thinking my class needed a quick giggle break, grabbed my sunglasses to complete the look! The whole class busted out laughing.
You have great taste . I’m really gonna come back when I have more time and peruse your tutorials! Thanks for sharing your talents with your readers!
What a great bundle! I love the colors you put together.
So cute So cute So cute!!! Teehee Thanks so much for the post! Very cute fabric ^^

After a generally lousy day, this is a great question. I’m afraid that I can’t think of anything to brighten your day, but thinking about the good things that happened today rather than just the bad has really brightened mine. thanks.
I am 33, but still remember with a blush that I failed my first driving test by running a red light at a complicated intersection! Right away! And I got pulled over! And the cop made us walk back to the DMV!
What a generous giveaway! Thanks!
Lovely prize! I love the options and opportunity that fat quarters contain – I’m working out a pattern to make a little girls layered skirt using fat quarters – since I have so many that need using!
I am in love with all the chevrons floating around these days. Lime is a fave I think.
Sweet giveaway! They are doing roadwork – putting a new surface on- the highway I drive to work. Yesterday morning I came up to the work zone. There was a line of vehicles: four or five dumptrucks full of gravel, several water trucks, three or four rollers, a tar machine. They were all parked on the side and there were eight to ten workers out on the road, sweeping it with push brooms. It was very funny. I’m sure there is a point, that it is some part of the process, but why would you need to sweep a road prior to watering, tarring and gravelling it?
I’m in Australia, so I’m very happy you’ve made this international, thank you!

I have been spending some quality time with my husband building a deck from our back patio to our pool. He tells me what to do, I forget what he says and change the plans. Many long discussions and revisions have been made many times. And that is usually in the first hour! Needless to say, we have been working on the deck for 10 days!
I love the fabrics and the colors! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!!!!
laurendawn (at) gmail (dot) com

Thank you for the opportunity(;
What a beautiful giveaway! I’m a huge fan of FQs. One of the main things I sew are little bags and zippered pouches to keep all my bits and pieces in. My friend saw one that was in my handbag last week and insisted I show her all the ones in my bag. It turns out there were ten different ones, all with different things in them!
I love those fabrics together. You have a good eye! Thanks for the giveaway!
Lovely choice of fabrics. Thanks for the opportunity!
Awesome giveaway – thank you from Australia for the chance to win
Japan is on your bucket list? Woo hoo! Be sure to look me up when you’re here. If the crowds in big city Tokyo and Osaka start getting to you, I’m on Awaji Island and I can go an entire day without seeing another person (besides my family, of course). You wouldn’t believe I’m in Japan! After living in Tokyo and Nagoya for years, it’s so relaxing to be in the country.
You’ve got me trying to think of a project to use all of the items in your giveaway.
Thanks for the chance to win!
The fabric you are giving away looks gorgeous – I can think of lots of uses for it!

Such great fabrics and a great giveaway! The perfect package to create a new bag with! Thanks for the chance!
Thanks for the giveaway. I like the combination of fabrics you chose. I think seeing groups like this help inspire me to think outside the box when choosing my own fabrics.
Thank you for participating in the giveaway! I’m a new visitor to your blog and i look forward to continuing to follow. I could make some wonderful things with your sweet little pkg. As for something to brighten your day, hows this: As a huge baseball fan, and a resident of the greatest baseball city in the U.S., (St. Louis, Cardinal Nation, for those of you international folks), so anyway, last night at the Cards vs. Phillies game at Busch Stadium, a guy ran onto the field just before the start of the 7th inning. Not just some guy, a NAKED ONE!! The number of flashes popping from the crowd was hysterical! And the cheers when the security tried to capture him and he got away was priceless! So anyway, just thought I pass that along, for a little chuckle!
thank you so much for having the “leave a comment’ widget at the start of the comments and not the bottom!! and to add to the value of your day….i’ve been following Oprah’s “Thank you game” on Twitter and Facebook, and today’s challenge is to thank someone who is not expecting it…so Thank you for the opportunity to win this great giveaway! have a good day!
I’m not sure I can add much to your day, but thanks for the giveaway! Just the thought of maybe winning is so fun!
