Friday Favorites–Creative Gift Packaging

Before I get into my list for the day, I’d just like to say a simple Thank You to all the servicemen and women out there, past, present and future.  You are the reason for the best things about our country and I am grateful.  Happy Veterans’ Day.

My Friday Favorites might seem a little premature this week.  I know it’s too soon to be talking about wrapping anything, but there are only so many Fridays between now and Thanksgiving and Christmas and lots to talk about.  Just store these ideas away until you’re ready for them.

This Wine Bottle Cozy from Design*Sponge is a nice way to dress up that perennial hostess gift favorite.  And it’s regiftable (cozy, not wine)!

Just about everyone ends up giving a gift card or two these days.  Why not dress them up with these Gift Card Boxes from Heather Bailey?

We’ve all gifted some cash at some point, too, but I’ve never thought to use it as a design element on the front of the card like Hero Arts did.

Maybe your gift is a message.  These Spools of Love from Papernstitch would be a great way to share it.

These Note-A-Lopes from Michelle’s Rubber Room are a fun alternative to an ordinary card and envelope.

My favorite thing about this Take Out Box from Lit’l Brown Bird’s Passion is the red embroidery on the side.  And I know where you can get a pattern for fortune cookies to fill it with! Smile

Using up fabric scraps and ending up with a cute box?  Win and win with these Fabric Boxes from Geta’s Quilting Studio.

Homeworkshop uses these Decoupage Storage Pails for, well, storage, but they would also make a great gift container.

Sometimes you can take really simple wrap, like newspaper, to a new level with a little embellishment.  I love this Ruffle Garland from Sweetwater as ribbon, but after the package is opened it can also be hung as décor.

I think I’m ready to start Christmas shopping, because now I kinda wanna wrap something.
